London Transport Museum runs the restored Met No 1 steam locomotive along the original Metropolitan line route to recreate the first journey on the London Underground in 1863. But in the middle of the birthday celebrations the museum is facing a £1.5 grant reduction from TfL. Staff fear that job cuts will be part of the imminent reorganisation.
