A portion of the union's flier announcing today's protest.Greyhound bus drivers picketed Dallas’ downtown bus station this morning, protesting the company’s use of replacement drivers.

“Greyhound drivers with decades of seniority have lost their runs,” according to a release from the Local 1700 Amalgamated Transit Union. “The company has left us no choice but to escalate our fight back.”
The union says Greyhound is deceiving riders by putting Americanos bus drivers in Greyhound uniforms behind the wheels of its buses.
But Greyhound says this simply represents a “rebranding” of the former Americanos routes through Texas, and these drivers receive the same training as Greyhound drivers.
Read more about the union’s beef from the Dallas Business Journal.
The rally began at 10 a.m. outside the terminal. Similar protests have taken place in San Antonio and Houston.
